Riverwalk Park

This long-awaited, high-profile park sits on the Halifax River in Port Orange, Florida. The project sitting on 10+ acres of land was worth more than $3,600,000 and took more than two decades in the making. Although it is only one phase of a much larger future project, the park itself took over one and a half years to complete due to two major hurricanes that passed in consecutive years. Split into two sections, the north section includes a kayak/canoe/paddleboard launch deck, a new boardwalk, concession stands with sports rentals, and more. The south section includes a splash pad, playground, large grass lawn, concession stand, covered picnic tables and grills, and another 12-foot trail way. There are 175 parking spaces. Because the park needed to be completed in time for the city’s 150th Anniversary Celebration, we had to maintain a tight schedule in spite of the hurricanes hindering our progress and work flow
